Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actor from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. Padukone's father is badminton-player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been born in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. In her teens, she played in national level badminton competitions, but quit the sport to become a fashion designer. Padukone is from Mangalore, and her mother tongue is Konkani.
